How to Improve Floor Safety

When you mention Floor Safety most people are generally clueless as to what u mean. Flooring to create a safe environment is a relatively new concept in India and was mostly driven home by bands of NRI’s who had seen the world and were now aware of the shortcomings in the flooring concepts in our countries. The new ideas and advancement in technology spawned a whole new industry built around safety flooring; you now had consultants and designers offering gender, area and usage specific services for safety flooring.  Industries manufacturing to requirement were set-up as importing flooring came at a huge cost and money most of the times wins over concern, what can u do? Such is the world we live in.

The new system of industries created a plethora of jobs thereby easing the unemployment problem, but this again gave rise to a generation that was young had money and now wanted to enjoy the good things in life. This meant that they too joined fitness studios, rock climbing centers and general health and wellness zones like spas, saunas and massage centers. This resulted in another group people who were now worried about their safety and that of their kids who were now getting accustomed to playing around in the newly built play pans.

As is the case with nature, it sometimes teaches you the hard-way. Once the word of mishaps occurring left right and centre got out, people became weary and demanded better safety procedures especially in areas with kids. Enter: the experts on floor safety. The primary result was that there is only one flooring that could solve most of the problems, Rubber Flooring.

Rubber flooring hit the floor form the word: go quite literally. The flooring was apt for almost all kinds of surfaces and all it needed was a flat unhindered sub-surface, you could choose from a variety of colors and get the right amount of thickness which you thought was perfect for your establishment. Rubber Flooring got its big break when the block tiles concept came out, you see earlier the flooring was in the form of large mats which needed glue and professionals to install it and cleaning under it was also a bit of task, the new flooring was in the form of tiles which were more snazzy in color and came with an interlocking feature that made it easy for any family or layman to install it. The installation was more like a weekend job. The tiles also came with a custom made feature which allowed you to choose the color variations on the tile and some manufacturers also provide a do it yourself color place for big time installers.

Rubber Flooring has no water pooling surface, high durability, long life accompanied with great impact safety. The flooring also has great shock absorption which means it can stop any great injury from occurring also if any heavy item/equipment were to fall on it there would be no noise and the flooring and floors below would be completely safe. Rubber Tiles have also been installed in kitchens at home where it’s flame retardant and cushioning feature comes in really handy.
To surmise if you need to know how to improve floor safety, you need to understand that every aspect of safety be it fire or injury needs to be taken into consideration.
