The focus on nuts has led to a drop on the intake of seeds
There has been a lot of focus on the intake of nuts in a
diet and to some extent on fiber but seeds have been completely ignored leading
to an immunity crisis.
Dietary plans are the new fad, making the entire planet run
around dieticians and health experts for a few minutes of advise so that they
can look good for that perfect selfie on a holiday or that party/wedding or
even for their loved ones.
This dietary focus has left out essential diet components
like fiber and seeds, recent bowel issues that people suffered were attributed
to low amounts of fiber and hence the focus on inclusion of fiber in the diet
has gone up manifold. The importance of seeds however has still not struck home
and pretty soon we will see another immunity crisis that will then have to be
rectified by the inclusion of seeds in the diet. It is quiet astonishing that
every diet taken out somehow leaves out an essential nutrient and then you need
to have a cataclysmic body event to rectify that particular mistake.
Seeds are a power house of nutrients and need to be included
in your daily diet to give you the proper boost required for energy and
immunity. Poppy, Hemp, Flax, Sesame, Pumpkin and Chia are the most important
seeds that you can have in your daily diet on a rotation basis. Some of these
can be added to you salads and smoothies and some can be taken in raw form.
Some people also add them to their soups to give it that extra zing and
flavour.
Hemp or Bhaang as it
is generally known has been used in India for centuries and is now being
studied so that it can be used in medicinal purposes for its serotonin
inhibiting qualities that aid in fighting depression and other mental health
issues.
People don’t generally eat flax seeds because of the taste
even though it does have some amazing good nutrients that keep the heart
healthy and is a great for your gut and really helps in absorbing calcium.
Sesame seeds are essential for bone development and are
widely used all over Asia and are a great source of antioxidants.
Pumpkin seeds are a great snack and are great for the bowel
and heart. They also help in keeping the skin clean and shiny, they also help
in giving hair that superb luster.
Chia seeds are a great source of protein and omega 3.
Once you are on the seeds bandwagon it is
important to note that you need to only consume about 200 calories per day,
anything more means you need to work-out harder. For this you need to either
sweat it out in the open or the gym or a fitness studio. While working out in a
gym it is best to ensure that the place is well ventilated and has all the fire
safety precautions in place. Additionally you must look out for safe flooring
which prevents injuries especially during skipping, aerobics, gymnastics, yoga
dance and parkour, all these forms require floors that have cushioning and have
feature that prevent any fall related injury.
